“A quiet secluded life in the country, with the possibility of being useful to people to whom it is easy to do good, and who are not accustomed to have it done to them; then work which one hopes may be of some use; then rest, nature, books, music, love for one’s neighbor — such is my idea of happiness.”
― Leo Tolstoy, Family Happiness

My goal is to stay useful and engaged throughout my career by applying my strengths in design, analytics, and collaboration to help simplify complex business decisions. Because when we spend less time worrying, we free up more space to enjoy our lives.

Be Direct. No beating around the bush; I am a confident decision-maker and articulate myself in a straightforward, concise fashion.
Be Driven. I think about the big picture, focusing on long-term goals and avoiding short-term minutiae, which helps me accomplish big goals.
Be Organized. I use free flowing physical and digital asset management systems with fewer obstacles and distractions; less clutter means more freedom.
Be Nice. People don’t remember what we do but will remember how we make them feel.
I live at the intersection of strategy and storytelling—where marketing becomes a tool for clarity, connection, and confident decision-making. Whether I’m developing brand materials, shaping messaging, or collaborating across teams, I bring a problem-solving mindset, a sharp eye for design, and a deep understanding of what people need to move forward.
Peers describe me as someone who bridges analytics and creativity, motivates others to bring their best, and consistently shows up with curiosity, generosity, and drive. I’m known for translating complexity into clarity, connecting ideas across disciplines, and always having people’s backs.
If you’re building something worth sharing—something that needs smart marketing, thoughtful storytelling, and a clear path to impact—I’d love to help make it happen. Let’s build something great together.
What’s this tagline all about?
I was naturally drawn to using a bee as the symbol for my brand, partly because I already owned the domain nicoleshive.com—a name that cleverly reads as either Nicole Shive dot com or Nicole’s Hive dot com. But as I explored my values more deeply, I realized the bee represents much more than a convenient domain name. It reflects who I am.
Bees embody qualities I strive to live by: teamwork, focus, dedication, hard work, prosperity, generosity, intellectual sharpness, and sweetness—like honey. These traits resonate with both my personal ethos and professional goals.
My tagline, Always Connecting the Dots, goes beyond the dotted circle around the bee in my logo. It captures the three pillars I need to feel fulfilled in my career: creativity, analytics, and collaboration.
- Creatively, connecting the dots means building ideas point-by-point to bring concepts to life and share them with others.
- Analytically, it means piecing together data to uncover hidden insights.
- Collaboratively, it symbolizes the human networks that strengthen us when we work together.
This is my commitment: to always bee connecting the dots—so that my clients, colleagues, managers, friends, and family can spend less time worrying and more time enjoying their lives.
